Chicca Maione, the heart and soul behind Cooking in Tuscany, brings the flavors and techniques of authentic Tuscan home cooking straight into kitchens around the world with her live online classes.
From her beautiful farmhouse kitchen in Bolgheri, Tuscany, she and her husband Arnaud — who supports the classes with photography, video, and creative direction — host interactive Zoom sessions where participants cook together in real time, ask questions, and learn traditional seasonal Italian recipes.

DaTerra Cucina has been delighted to work with Chicca over the past several years, sharing a passion for authentic cooking and quality cookware. Whether you’re making pasta, risotto, or classic Tuscan dishes, Chicca’s warm teaching style and approachable recipes make every class fun, engaging, and deeply educational, helping home cooks everywhere build confidence with Italian cuisine from the comfort of their own homes.
Nathan & Kathrin’s Fall 2025 Visit to Tuscany
In the fall of 2025, DaTerra Cucina’s owners Nathan and Kathrin had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Tuscany and finally meet Chicca and Arnaud in person after years of virtual collaboration.
What began as an online partnership blossomed into a real-life friendship, and meeting face-to-face in Chicca’s Tuscan kitchen was a true highlight. During their visit, they experienced the Tuscan way of life, shared meals, and deepened the partnership between DaTerra Cucina and Cooking in Tuscany.

It was a joy to see the place where Chicca teaches and to connect in the environment that inspires so much of her cooking. The visit strengthened a relationship built on shared values: good food, beautiful ingredients, and bringing people together around the table.
