½ pound flank steak, thinly sliced into 2-inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 Tablespoon finely chopped garlic
½ pound choy sum, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
½ cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
2 carrots, peeled and julienned
½ onion, thinly sliced
½ pound dried sweet potato noodles, soaked for 20 minutes in hot water and drained
Marinate the Beef:
Toss your sliced beef with salt, ½ teaspoon brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon garlic. Let it sit for 15 minutes to 1 hour.
Mix the Sauce:
In a small bowl, combine the remaining garlic, brown sugar, and soy sauce.
Sear the Beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in your DaTerra Cucina wok and swirl to coat. Sear the beef for 1 minute on each side. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Veggies:
Add the remaining oil to the wok, sauté onions for 1 minute, and deglaze with a splash of water. Toss in the carrots, then choy sum and noodles.
Bring It All Together:
Pour the sauce over the noodles and cover for 1–2 minutes to wilt the greens. Add the cooked beef and toss everything using wooden utensils. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until noodles are soft but still chewy.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top and enjoy warm.
